John B. Amos Purchases EQUICARE CS

Columbus Regional healthcare provider anticipates improvements in cancer survivors post treatment care set to launch its new cancer survivorship initiative in 2011, John B. Amos has signed an EQUICARE CS agreement with Cogent Health Solutions aimed at improving overall cancer survivors’ care and clinic efficiency.

John B. Amos Cancer Center will be utilizing EQUICARE CS to manage their cancer survivors. By using EQUICARE CS, John B. Amos is able to provide cancer survivors with a comprehensive Care Plan, as well as a follow-up plan at the completion of treatment. Educational material included in the Care Plan provides patients with information on managing side effects and health promotion activities, such as nutrition, exercise, and smoking cessation. The structured follow-up plan ensures that survivors know when to expect follow-up activities, which helps ease stress on the patient. Through the EQUICARE CS Dashboard, John B. Amos staff can monitor the upcoming scheduled activities for survivors and generate reminder calls to confirm appointments, improving clinic efficiency through a reduction in missed appointments.
