Equicare Health introduces features to operationalize the process of meeting Commission on Cancer accreditation in new software release

Vancouver, CANADA – May 12, 2016Equicare Health Inc., the leading supplier of comprehensive care coordination solutions, today announces the release of the latest version of their software products, EQUICARE CS™, and Active Patient Portal. The v4.5 release includes a new feature called Compliance Worklists, which operationalizes the process of meeting industry standards like Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation, Meaningful Use, and more.


“We have supported the CoC’s Continuum of Care Services requirements since their introduction in 2014,” states Equicare VP of Product Management, Malcolm Wright. “After listening to our customers, we identified the need do more to make these requirements actionable. With the introduction of Compliance Worklists, we now offer a simple way to identify patients, and the actions to be completed to meet specific standards like CoC Accreditation.”

Equicare’s software streamlines the coordination of oncology patients, through interfaces with existing health IT systems and EMRs.  The software supports several major industry standards including Meaningful Use Stage 2, & CoC, and ships with Compliance Worklists to meet these standards among others.

“As actions are completed, the Compliance Worklist updates in real time.  In this way we can impact the day to day operations of healthcare organizations, making it much easier to track, manage, & report on compliance,” adds Wright.

Other features included in the v4.5 release include an upgraded educational module featuring 500+ articles from OncoLink, updates to the treatment summary to meet ASCO QOPI® standards, and more.
