Equicare Health Compliance Worklist feature supports organizations with compliance goals and healthcare accreditation needs

Vancouver BC – December 20, 2016 –  Equicare Health Inc., a leading provider of care coordination software, has released EQUICARE CS (ECS) version 4.5. The updated version, released in May, has been assisting organizations with tracking Commission on Cancer (CoC) and Meaningful Use (MU) Compliance with its new Compliance Worklist feature.

“This update offers a simple way to identify patients and actions to be completed to meet cancer center accreditation standards of the North American healthcare market,” says Malcolm Wright, VP of Product Management at Equicare Health. “The addition of Compliance Worklists has helped our customers manage requirements more easily and assists them with meeting hospital standards of quality care. The new feature provides organizations with tools to manage their survivorship, navigation and follow-up programs, as well as supporting CoC and Meaningful Use compliance.”

This built-in feature supports tracking of CoC and MU requirements, by managing the progress of each compliance standard, for each individual patient. ECS ships with eight standard Compliance Worklists, and organizations can modify or add new worklists to meet organization-specific program requirements. The new feature allows customers to organize goals within one interface and track compliance across all patients. Compliance Worklists provide customers the tools they need to manage and report on program compliance, for large patient populations, within a single facility or across a multi-facility enterprise.

Meaningful Use requirements are defined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (ARRA-HiTech Act) and are intended to reduce healthcare costs through the adoption and meaningful use of health information technology.

The American College of Surgeons CoC program is dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education and comprehensive quality care.

The Compliance Worklist feature helps operationalize the process of meeting the major industry standards of MU and CoC compliance in addition to individual hospital standards of care.
